How to write a treatment

  • Major events in the plot, In present tense without using dialogue.
  • Clear sense of the story, who the characters are and what they want.
  • Names are written in capitals to help quick identification.
  • The length are two slides of A4.
  • Starting with four lines the who,what and when and where of the story.
  • Describe what's the story about and give audience questions by complication.
  • Quick and easy to digest.
  • Emphasise all strong points to help convince other it it worth producing.
  • Strong sense of concept,the story and the characters.
