Amelie best shots

In this image as we see the character alone it could represent her as a lonely character. I like the image as we see different lines and shapes which leads to the character in the image. Through the prop used the newspaper/magazine we could suggest she is smart and intelligent.
Through the use of long shot we can see the setting she is in. We can denote that it looks dirty and poor which could have a connotation that the character is poor and lives in these conditions.

This is my favourite image out of all. As we look at it we can denote straight away the female character behind the glass. The prop used (glass) could suggest even though the character is just there next to the male character she can't get to him or the other connotation could be a loner and separated from others or even have a closed personality. Through the facial expressions of the female character we can denote she is worried which represents her as a caring character. The colours in the image are orange with white and natural lighting the orange colour could connote desire which links with the female character she may have feelings for the male character as desires him.


Through this image we can see the characters body language to be calming and as we see the hand movements we would expect to see this when two people are having a conversation, however we could also say the character is aggressive by his costume colour the shirts which is red and representing aggression and danger. The prop in the background (glass) could suggest the character is consuming alcohol this is the reason why we see the character in this situation due to him drinking. Through his facial expressions we can suggest the character is having a conversation with someone else being aggressive towards someone. What I like about the image is the line follows to the character face which therefore let's us feel the atmosphere and to know what's going on. The framing of the shot we see the character taking the center therefore his has importance and his in the center of the situation.

As you look at this image you can straight away denote the colours in the image which are red and brown. The colour red could have connotations of anger, danger and as we see the character wearing the red dress we can suggest that the character might be aggressive and dangerous. Also as the owner (character) in the image owns the red dress might therefore connote that its owner is an extrovert. In the background it also has red colour props which creates symmetry in the image. Through costume the character is wearing we could suggest she still feels young because of the accessory in her hair which stereotypically young girls would wear. The artificial high key lighting is used in the image which makes colour red really stand out in the image as I said the colour red represents danger and aggression it kind of introduces the character to the audience a little bit more.

I like this image because as soon as you look through the use of lines and shapes in the background your eyes follow the lines to the character (Amelie). The props used in the shot could represent her as intelligent and smart as she is reading a book. The natural lighting also creates a juxtaposition the black and the white.
As she is in the center of the shot and there's nobody around her this could suggest that she is independent character and important.


What I really like about this as you look at it you can denote the moods and emotions of each character. The female character (Amelie) is sad we can tell that by her facial expressions the connotation this could represent her as a weak character and easy to hurt her feelings. The low key lighting in the foreground also compliments the mood of Amelie as colour black representing
silence and mystery we could apply this by saying she is very closed character and silent. However the people in the background is completely opposite to Amelie they are represented as happy and seems they are having a good time which shows a contract between Amelie and the male characters which tells us about different personalities that these characters have. The lighting in the background used is high key which could represent the personalities as peaceful or brave. In the background we could also see different fruits and vegetables which could represent each characters personality in the image as the fruits and vegetables are in different colours and shapes.
